Happy New Year!!  I hope that everyone had a great holiday break, enjoyed family & friends, ate & drank until your heart's content, & made loads of New's Year's resolutions! I can't believe how quickly that break went. But as the saying goes, all good things must come to an end.

We have been silent on the blog for awhile because we didn't want to sound like a broken record. The same handful of people are always doing their own thing & the same things are continuing to happen. We will try to keep up on the blog & let you know of our daily activities, even if you have heard it all before.

We have been back for two full days now & not too much has happened. Just the normal people not knowing where to go or trying to turn when where they aren't supposed to, or people who think the rules don't apply to them.

Carrie & I did have an incident this morning that is worth mentioning. It was after the bell had rung & the safety patrol was already inside so there was limited help letting kids out of the many cars that still remained in front of the school. So maybe 10 to 12 cars at a time, not the full 25 to 30. I have my stop sign up & am letting the few cars out of the school. A lady inched up to where I was standing & when I didn't put my stop sign down, or stop the cars from coming out of the school, she proceeded to beep at us. I continued to let the cars out (all 5 of them) & Carrie let her know that we see her & will be with her in a minute. When I do wave her on, she throws her hands in the air, won't roll down her window, proceeds to yell at us & wave her hands & head around. I said, through the window, that there is a system & to have a wonderful day. Carrie said she saw her give us the finger.  Oh well!

Also, our friend got caught by Ms. Kovar today. She has been doing her own thing, stopping the flow of traffic, parking in a spot until we were done, pulling around to avoid our cones, etc. Today she got in line & gave her number to pick up her kids, but she didn't get in line. She pulled up along side the line where she was supposed to go. When her line pulled up to pick up their kids, she was not in that line. She picked up her safety patrol person & the kids that were waiting to be picked up were left standing at the curb. When I talked to Ms. Kovar about it, she said don't waste our time on her any longer. If she wants to park in a parking spot to avoid us, let her. If she wants to loop back around to avoid us, let her. However, if she continues to block traffic & mess up the pick up line, to have someone come get her immediately & she will come talk to the woman. But at this point, she is just a waste of time & space. She advised us that as soon as our safety patrol people are crossed we pull our cones. I told her that that is exactly what we do, so it looks like we are good.

All right. That is my two sense for the day. Again, have a wonderful new year! & look for more posts in the days, weeks, months to come.
